Gaming Disorder
Gaming disorder is defined in the 11th Amendment of the International Disease Classification (ICD-11) as a pattern of gaming behaviour ("digital-gaming" or "video-gaming"), impairing control of Gaming and giving greater importance to gaming. Gaming takes precedence over other activities and daily activities while maintaining or enhancing gaming in spite of the negative consequences.
To detect gaming disorders, the behavioural pattern must be serious enough to cause significant harm to the individual, family, social, educational, professional, or other important functional areas, and functioning and should normally have evident for at least 12 months.
